We are certainly no new comers to the engineering and sandblasting industries, In 1968 I completed my apprenticeship as a fitter and turner, Three years Later we opened our own engineering work shop and traded as a registered name ’Silkwood General Engineering’ In 1980 I diversified into sandblasting and Tropical Coast Sandblasting was a registered company, 34 years Later we are still in business and have been very successful.

In 2001 Neil completed his apprenticeship as a boilermaker and has worked within the business, helping making the business the success story it is today. We have been sandblasting down the East Coast of Queensland and out to Mt Isa.

We service the Sugar, Marine, Mining and Construction industries as well as local engineering workshops and other local industries. We take pride in our work to ensure customer satisfaction and use the best products available.

We Are EPA Approved (Licence Number – ENRE00924709) we comply with safe work codes and regulations as outlined in Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines we foster a culture of continuous improvement and zero harm and we promote safety awareness, environmental responsibility and safe work practices.
